LBCC Spring Choral Concert “Mozart Requiem”

“Mozart Requiem” choral concert will be held Friday, June 8 at 7:30 p.m. at Linn-Benton Community College’s Russell Tripp Performance Center, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany

LBCC award winning choirs will perform in conjunction with an orchestra, conducted by Raymund Ocampo, LBCC Choral Studies director, with soloists Patty Gerig, Sarah Brauer, Jason Caffarella, and Kevin Wyant-Stone.

LBCC a cappella ensembles Sirens and Blue Light Special will perform works by Beyonce, Bruno Mars and more.

Tickets are $10 general admission, $7 for students, seniors and veterans. Concert is free for students with ID and children under 18. Purchase online at www.linnbenton.edu/tickets or at the theater box office one hour prior to performance.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. The course is required for CCB licensing as part of the education requirement before taking the State of Oregon CCB exam. A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications. A variety of art classes, including a few new ones, are being offered through LBCC Community Education starting March 28. In the new class “Art & Etsy,” learn to polish your craft and sell your art. Bring your own product to polish up, or bring to life a new creation. Immerse yourself in product design and then create a catchy shop name and an inviting online presence.
