LBCC Holds Driver's Education Classes

A few seats are still available in Linn-Benton Community College’s Driver Education Courses.

It is a proven fact that students that take Driver Education are far less likely to get into an accident than those who do not. The Driver’s Ed courses are highly popular for teens ages 15-17 preparing to apply for a driver’s license from the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles.

Register at least two days before the start dates, which are as follows: Saturday, September 19 for the Lebanon class; Wednesday, September 23 for the Corvallis class; and Thursday, September 24 for the Albany Class.

The course includes Oregon State mandated 30 hours of classroom instruction, a three-hour parent/student orientation at first meeting plus 12 hours behind-the wheel practice and driver observation.

Registration requirements include completed packet, fee and original driver permit to be presented upon registration. Registration packets are available at all centers or they can be downloaded online at www.linnbenton.edu/driver-education.

Cost for the course is $265 for ages 17 and under, $445 for ages 18 and over.

For more information, visit the online schedule at www.linnbenton.edu or contact LBCC Community Education, Albany at 541-917-4849 or richeym@linnbenton.edu.
