Geocaching Using GPS class for Teens held August 1

Geocaching and GPS skills class for teens will be held at Linn-Benton Community College Saturday, August 1.

Geocaching Using GPS will help teens learn potentially life-saving navigation skills using a handheld Global Positioning System (GPS) while also enjoying one of the fastest-growing outdoor activities.

There are thousands of geocaches in Linn and Benton counties for students to find using positioning and navigation technology in the great outdoors. Bring handheld GPS receiver (if purchasing a GPS unit, email instructor for recommendations at Paul.Tannahill@linnbenton.edu).

Class will be held Saturday, August 1, from 9 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. at LBCC Albany campus, Takena Hall, 6500 SW Pacific Blvd. Cost is $59.
