ART                                                                                        

THE ART OF THE FELINE FACE                                                                                             
This one-day workshop will introduce you to the basics of creating an exciting watercolor representation of a feline friend. The unique techniques discussed are freeing, fun, and useful in painting many other subjects. This is a wonderful class for more advanced painters and beginners alike. All materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own if you like. Class will be held Saturday, Jan. 31 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way. Cost is $59.

GOOGLE APPS FOR YOU                                                                                                           
Google provides some of the most widely used tools online worldwide. Learn to organize, collaborate and communicate with Google Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Voice and more. Improve utilization of docs, spreadsheets, presentations and forms for business and/or personal needs in this hands-on course. Class meets Mondays from 5:30 to 6:50 p.m. starting Jan. 12 and at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way. Cost is $69.

APPLE IPHONE                                                                                                             
Get to know your iPhone’s basic functions and useful features. Explore the touchscreen interface, type with the intelligent keyboard, setup your email account, and confidently manage your preferences.  Take advantage of standard iPhone Apps, and download new apps from the App Store. For iPhone beginners, using any generation of iPhone device. Class meets Wednesdays from 1 to 2:50 p.m. starting Jan. 14 and at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way. Cost is $59.                                                                                 

BUYING & SELLING ONLINE                                                                                                       
Interested in starting an online business? Ready to sell those unwanted items collecting dust? Learn how to effectively use Craigslist, eBay, and Etsy. Explore shopping options and popular marketplace services while learning to create ads to attract buyers and other strategies to get results and protect yourself as both buyer and seller. Class meets Wednesdays from 1 to 2:50 p.m. starting Feb. 18 and at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way. Cost is $59.

LUNCH AND LEARN SERIES                                                                                                          
A free Lunch and Learn series will help you make small changes in your life to improve your health, reduce stress, stretch your finances, and make your new year happier. Jan. 12, Public Health 101; Jan. 26, Financial Goals; Feb. 2, Learning New Things; Feb. 9, Health Benefits of Fermentation; Feb. 23, Spirituality & Health; Mar. 2, Remembering How to Play. Pick up a complete list of presenters and descriptions at the LBCC Lebanon Center or the Lebanon Senior Center. Series meets Tuesdays from 12:10 to 1 p.m. at the Lebanon Senior Center, 80 Tangent Street.

DOLLARS AND SENSE                                                                                                
A free Dollars and Sense class will be held by Willamette Neighborhood Housing Services Saturday, Feb. 21 from 9 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center Annex, 44 Industrial Way. Are you challenged with managing money and a budget? Would you like to learn how to improve your credit report and score? Are you curious about easy-to-follow steps that create the habit of saving? Join Willamette Neighborhood Housing Services, a local, non-profit housing agency, for this no-cost class. Using hands-on tools and group discussions, you'll learn how to master money management skills to reach your financial goals. Workshop participants are also eligible for free one-on-one support from certified credit and budget specialists. NEW TO MEDICARE                                                                                                            
Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance, SHIBA, will hold a class that covers the basics of Medicare parts A, B, C and D on Thursday, March 19 from 10 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center Annex, 44 Industrial Way. Designed for anyone who will be eligible for Medicare within a few months or is new to Medicare, or for current beneficiaries who would like a better understand their Medicare benefits and options for changes or additional coverage. Spouses and other relatives are welcome to attend. Class is taught by a SHIBA counselor and sponsored by Linn-Benton RSVP. Class is free. Preregistration is required by calling 541-812-0849.

WINTER GARDENING SERIES                                                                                                    
A free Winter Gardening Series will meet Thursdays from 12 to 12:50 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center Annex, 44 Industrial Way. Spend your noon hour sharpening your gardening skills and learning new techniques. Taught by OSU certified Master Gardeners, the series covers a wide variety of subjects of interest to the home gardener, with a different topic covered each week. Pick up a complete list of topics and dates at the LBCC Lebanon or Sweet Home Centers.

TRIATHLON TRAINING CLINIC                                                                                                   
Jump start or accelerate your triathlon experience in this starter clinic designed to improve your technique and offer strategies to streamline your swim, boost your biking ability, run efficiently and transition smoothly, all while meeting your nutrition and hydration needs. Learn about safety, sighting, gear planning, realistic goal setting and more. This two-day clinic meets Thursday, Jan. 29 from 7:30 to 9:20 p.m. at the Lebanon Community Pool, 1800 S. 5th St., and Saturday, Jan. 31 from 9 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center Annex, 44 Industrial Way. YOU, YOUR TREE FARM AND TAXES                                                                                       
Learn what you should know about taxation for tree farms and how to lower the bite in this workshop held Wednesday, Feb. 25 from 7 to 8:20 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way. The workshop will cover free to grow, logging, severance taxes and more. Class is open to everyone and there will be time for questions and answers.  Co-sponsored by Linn County Small Woodland Association and OSU Extension Service.                                                                                                                      

DRIVER ED
Registration packets are available online at www.linnbenton.edu/driver-education and all centers one week prior to registration.  This ODOT approved program includes mandated 30 hours classroom instruction, parent/student orientation at first meeting, plus 12 hours on the road (6 hours behind-the-wheel and 6 hours driver observation).
