LBCC Not too late to register for Driver Education Classes

There’s still time to register for summer term Driver Education classes at Linn-Benton Community College, which begin Monday, June 23 in Albany, Corvallis and Lebanon, with a second session starting the week of July 21.

LBCC’s Driver Education program serves students throughout Linn and Benton counties and is approved by the Oregon Department of Transportation. Eligible students between the ages 15-17 with a permit may qualify for a waiver of the Class C drive test at the Department of Motor Vehicles (certain restrictions apply).

The course includes Oregon State mandated 30 hours of classroom instruction, a three-hour parent/student orientation at the first meeting, plus 12 hours behind-the- wheel practice and driver observation.

Original driver permit, completed forms packet and fee due at registration. Register at offering location (on-line registration is not available). Registration packets are available at all LBCC campuses or online at www.linnbenton.edu/driver-education.

Cost is $259 for ages 17 and under, or $429 for ages 18 and over. Class must be dropped 24 hours prior to start date for refund.
