LBCC Travel at the Tripp Film Series “Angry Planet: Volcanoes”


Filmmaker Peter Rowe will present the film “Angry Planet: Volcanoes” Sunday, March 9 at 2 p.m. in the LBCC's Russell Tripp Performance Center, Takena Hall.

Explore the volcanic Cyrstal Cave in Mexico, one of the newest volcanic islands, Hunga Ha’apai, and volcanoes in Costa Rica, Congo, Vanuatu, Italy and Indonesia, and the gripping stories of the people living beside them.

Rowe is a documentary and dramatic filmmaker specializing in themes of exploration and adventure. He has directed feature films and several television series, including the 39-part television series Angry Plant, which airs in 35 countries around the world.

LBCC Travel at the Tripp film series will host the filmmaker and experts from AAA Travel after the show for a question and answer session.


SafeHaven Humane Society will sell refreshments during the show’s intermission. Proceeds support SafeHaven Humane Society, Albany’s non-profit animal shelter.
Ticket price is $8, $6.50 for students/seniors, and $3 for under 18.
