Call for Auditions for Annual Children’s Play

Auditions for the 36th annual Linn-Benton Community College Children’s Play Nick Tickle, Fairytale Detective will be held on Monday, Nov. 15 and Tuesday, Nov. 16.

Auditions will be held at 3 p.m. or 6 p.m. on both days in the Russell Tripp Performance Center in Takena Hall, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. Scripts will be available for viewing in the theater box office starting Nov. 5.

Directed by LBCC theater director Dan Stone, the play is a comedy by author Steph DeFerie about fairytale detective Nick Tickle who gets caught-up in trying to save the future of fairytales. As story props come up missing, Granny can’t tell her fairytales and calls on Nick, and some cleaver audience participation, to find the “Mysterious Figure” and to help solve the case.

Performance dates for local schools are Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning February 8 and going through March 3. Public performances are Feb 20 and 26 at 3 p.m. There will be 16 performances in all.

For more information, contact LBCC theater faculty and director Dan Stone at 541-917-4566 or via email at dan.stone@linnbenton.edu.
