LBCC Hosts Oregon Shakespeare Festival Actors

Linn-Benton Community College will host a pair of actors from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival on Friday, November 12 for two performances from 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. and from 12 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. at the Russell Tripp Performance Center, Takena Hall, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.

The actors will hold two one-hour performance workshops. The first workshop will feature characters of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. The second workshop will feature scenes from other plays from the 2010 OSF season.

OSF actors David Kelly and Terri McMahon will lead the workshops. Kelly has been with OSF for 20 seasons. A graduate of the University of Delaware, this is Kelly’s fourth tour with the OSF School Visit Program. McMahon has been with OSF for 18 seasons. She received her bachelor of fine arts from the University of Southern California. This is her 12th tour with the program.

At the conclusion of the Festival’s 2009 season, six teams of actors
visited 127 schools and organizations, reaching more than 60,000 students in four states. The 2010 School Visit Program is funded by grants from the Helen Clay Frick Foundation, Steven and Karen Tyler, and the Bowmer Society sponsored by Bank of America.
