Workshop: Just for Fun Piano

Learn to play piano in three hours in the workshop “Just for Fun Piano” with nationally known pianist Donn Rochlin.

Learn all the chords and tools you will need to know to play your favorite songs and to improvise freely without years of practice. Class is for the total beginner as well as classical pianist who would like to play with more artistic freedom.

This one-day workshop will meet Sunday, Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. at the Albany Senior Center; 489 NW Water Ave. Cost is $99.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. The course is required for CCB licensing as part of the education requirement before taking the State of Oregon CCB exam. LBCC Holds Annual Career Fair

A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications. For sample interview questions and tips, check out the college web site at www.linnbenton.edu/go/career-fair and click “Job Seeker Links.” Employment, training and family needs agencies will be on hand to inform job seekers about their services. A variety of art classes, including a few new ones, are being offered through LBCC Community Education starting March 28. In the new class “Art & Etsy,” learn to polish your craft and sell your art. Bring your own product to polish up, or bring to life a new creation. Immerse yourself in product design and then create a catchy shop name and an inviting online presence.
