LBCC Offers Statewide Online Basic Nursing Assistant Program in Partnership with SOCC
Basic Nursing Assistant Online Training will be offered through LBCC Business and Employer Services beginning Monday, Sept. 26 at the LBCC Albany Campus, Willamette Hall, room WH-120, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W., Albany, Oregon.
This course will provide 51 hours of lecture online hours (5 credits) through Southwestern Oregon Community College which includes instruction in bedside nursing skills, basic restorative skill, mental health and social service needs, personal care skills, and knowledge of client’s rights.
The course also includes (4 credits) through LBCC as 24 hours of skills lab and 75 clinical rotation hours. Training includes knowledge and skills necessary to care for clients in long-term care and acute care facilities that are under direct care of a licensed nurse.
The course runs through December 15. Application deadline for the program is July 21. There is a $100 non-refundable deposit due at registration, which will be applied toward LBCC tuition. Cost for the course is $850 for lab and clinical at LBCC and $500 to SOCC for online theory. The full payment is due by the application deadline.
