LBCC Spring Choral Concert “Mozart Requiem”

“Mozart Requiem” choral concert will be held Friday, June 8 at 7:30 p.m. at Linn-Benton Community College’s Russell Tripp Performance Center, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany LBCC award winning choirs will perform in conjunction with an orchestra, conducted by Raymund Ocampo, LBCC Choral Studies director, with soloists Patty Gerig, Sarah Brauer, Jason Caffarella, and Kevin Wyant-Stone . LBCC a cappella ensembles Sirens and Blue Light Special will perform works by Beyonce, Bruno Mars and more. Tickets are $10 general admission, $7 for students, seniors and veterans. LBCC Music Department Presents Faculty Recital Series

The LBCC Music Department presents a recital featuring LBCC music faculty Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in South Santiam Hall, room SSH-213, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. The recital “Autumn Splendor,” features music faculty Diane Hawkins on piano and flute, tenors Jason Caffarella and James Reddan, and soprano Patty Gerig performing works celebrating the magnificence of the autumn season. Tickets are $5 at the door, $3 for students and seniors, $1 for children 12 and under. All proceeds benefit the LBCC Music Department to support future guest artists and provide student scholarships. The Faculty Recital Series will feature one recital fall and spring term, with performances to be held in SSH-213. The spring term recital, “Musical Mayhem,” will be held in May 2013. Music Faculty Recital “American Pops”

The LBCC Music Department will present its final music recital for the season, “American Pops,” featuring LBCC music faculty on Thursday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. in South Santiam Hall, room SSH-213, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. The performance will feature LBCC music faculty Jason Caffarella, tenor; Patty Gerig, soprano; Diana Hancock, piano; Diane Hawkins, flute; Alex Lancaster, piano; and James Reddan, tenor. Faculty will perform songs that have become representative of America, American Music and American composers. Works by Charles Ives, Native American flute pieces and musical theater including Sweeny Todd, Casbah, Annie Get Your Gun, Chess, and much more. There’s sure to be something for everyone. This fun, light-hearted performance will be a wonderful way to celebrate America and American music as we prepare for the upcoming holiday season including Memorial Day and July 4th!
