Learn the basics of using a computer or how to edit your digital photos in a computer class offered at Linn-Benton Community College’s Benton Center starting Jan. 12. Photoshop Elements will be held Tuesdays at 5 p.m. for six-weeks. Get hands-on instruction on digital photo editing including how to correct exposure, contrast and color problems, and how to resize, print, save and prepare images for email and the web. Computer experience recommended. Cost is $79. Personal Computer Essentials will meet Tuesdays at 1 p.m. This three-week class is perfect for those who have never touched a computer before and want hands-on, step-by-step instruction in a small class setting. A variety of computer classes will be offered through Linn-Benton Community College Albany Community beginning June 23. Apple iPad teaches you how to get the most from your iPad. Course covers the essentials of the iOS operating system, navigating the keyboard-less interface, and using the built-in apps. This four-week class meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11:50 a.m. beginning June 23 at the Albany Senior Center. Cost is $50. Photoshop Elements I and II will help you take your photos from snapshot-quality to spectacular. Learn to edit, enhance, and touch-up digital photos, including exposure and contrast, or adding and removing elements, and the skills necessary to backup, and organize your images.
