Pesticide applicator classes in English and Spanish will be held at Linn-Benton Community College starting November 30. Designed to prepare senior agriculture workers to take the State of Oregon Department of Agriculture pesticide applicator exam, classes provide in-depth training, including extra coaching in math and calibration skills. Course may be used for recertification credits. Pesticide Applicator in Spanish meets Nov. 30 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Dec. 1 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at LBCC’s Calapooia Center, room CC-205. Cost is $119. Pesticide Applicator in English meets Dec. 7 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Dec. 8 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at LBCC’s Calapooia Center, room CC-213. Cost is $119. Learn the media of open form collage art in the class “Collage Night” starting September 27 at LBCC Benton Center. Learn to tell your life story in classes offered in Albany, Lebanon, and Corvallis.  The class “Life Stories” will help you preserve your family stories. Recall and recount family history in your own narrative style with enhancement of detail, description and dialogue. Tips on publishing to submit stories to magazines as fact or fiction. This eight-week class meets Tuesdays, 2-3:50 p.m. starting Sept. 26 at Song Bird Village, 215 SE 21st Ave., Albany, or Wednesdays, 2-3:50 p.m. starting Sept. 27 at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way.
