LBCC Offers RT130 Fire Safety Refresher Course

A fire line safety refresher course for wild land firefighters and forest service workers will be offered through Linn-Benton Community College April 27. The RT130 Fire Safety Refresher is for workers who have an Incident Command System qualification that requires fire-training certification. Learn to recognize and mitigate risk, maintain safe and effective practices, reduce accidents and near misses, and practice deploying new generation fire shelters. Class will meet Sunday, April 27 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center, room CC-211, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW. Cost is $95, or $80 per person if more than three from one company. Students must have completed S-130 and S-190 training. Tender Operators need no prior training.
