Spring Choir Concert "Voices United in Song!"

The Linn-Benton Community College choirs will perform their spring concert  “Voices United In Song!” on Thursday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the LBCC Russell Tripp Performance Center, Takena Hall, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. LBCC Director of Choral Activities James Reddan will conduct the performances of the Concert Choir, Re-Choired Element Chamber Choir, Women’s Ensemble, Blue Light Special and the Sirens. Diana Hancock will accompany on piano.  The concert will feature songs from across the choral repertoire performed by LBCC's award-winning choirs, including: Prayer of the Children (Bestor/Klouse), Lacrimosa (from Requiem, W. A. Mozart), Loch Lomond (Jonathan Quick), I’m Gonna Sing ‘til the Spirit Moves in My Heart & Elijah Rock (Moses Hogan), Tambur (Hungarian Folk Song).  The LBCC vocal a cappella ensembles will present favorites including: Cowboy Casanova, Magic, I Knew You Were Trouble, and Don’t You Worry Child. LBCC 4th Annual Albany Sings! Choir Concert

Celebrate choral music in the Willamette Valley at the 4 th annual Albany Sings! Choir Concert on Thursday, May 24 at 7 p.m. at West Albany High School, 1130 Queen Avenue SW, Albany, Oregon. Approximately 300 singers from the Calapooia, Memorial, and North Albany Middle Schools, Timber Ridge School, West and South Albany High Schools, and the Linn-Benton Community College choirs will perform a plethora of choral works sure to knock your socks off! After individual performances, the ensembles will combine to perform Hand in Hand , a work by Rollo Dillworth, truly emulating the idea that no matter what, we can make anything happen by working together both in song and as a community!
