A variety of art and community education classes, including several free classes, will be held through Linn-Benton Community College this month. Learn the basics of design and acrylic painting with professional muralist Victoria Knight in the class “You Can Paint Acrylics.” Take home a completed mountain passage scene. This one-day class meets Friday, Feb.19 from 10 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way. Cost is $39. Supplies included. Join living history master performer and Willamette National Forest Service archaeologist Tony Farque for a free class "Lewis & Clark: Into the Unknown" at the LBCC Sweet Home Center. This two-day class explores Lewis and Clark’s Core of Discovery trip as they headed west in the spring of 1805 to begin a trek into unchartered territory. The class examines the Corp of Discovery's travels both west and east across the continent from both an American and Tribal perspective.
