LBCC Music Department Presents Faculty Recital Series

The LBCC Music Department presents a recital featuring LBCC music faculty Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in South Santiam Hall, room SSH-213, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.

The recital “Autumn Splendor,” features music faculty Diane Hawkins on piano and flute, tenors Jason Caffarella and James Reddan, and soprano Patty Gerig performing works celebrating the magnificence of the autumn season.

Tickets are $5 at the door, $3 for students and seniors, $1 for children 12 and under. All proceeds benefit the LBCC Music Department to support future guest artists and provide student scholarships.

The Faculty Recital Series will feature one recital fall and spring term, with performances to be held in SSH-213. The spring term recital, “Musical Mayhem,” will be held in May 2013.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. LBCC Holds Annual Career Fair

A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications. A variety of art classes, including a few new ones, are being offered through LBCC Community Education starting March 28. In the new class “Art & Etsy,” learn to polish your craft and sell your art. Bring your own product to polish up, or bring to life a new creation. Immerse yourself in product design and then create a catchy shop name and an inviting online presence.
