Music Faculty Recital “American Pops”

The LBCC Music Department will present its final music recital for the season, “American Pops,” featuring LBCC music faculty on Thursday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m. in South Santiam Hall, room SSH-213, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.

The performance will feature LBCC music faculty Jason Caffarella, tenor; Patty Gerig, soprano; Diana Hancock, piano; Diane Hawkins, flute; Alex Lancaster, piano; and James Reddan, tenor.

Faculty will perform songs that have become representative of America, American Music and American composers. Works by Charles Ives, Native American flute pieces and musical theater including Sweeny Todd, Casbah, Annie Get Your Gun, Chess, and much more. There’s sure to be something for everyone.

This fun, light-hearted performance will be a wonderful way to celebrate America and American music as we prepare for the upcoming holiday season including Memorial Day and July 4th!

Tickets are $5 general admission, $3 for students and seniors and are available at the door.  Proceeds support student scholarships and the LBCC music program.
