Benton Center Ceramics Lecture and Workshop
The LBCC Benton Center will hold a ceramics lecture and workshop with sculptural ceramic artist Brad Mildrexler on Friday, May 20 and Saturday, May 21 at the center, 757 NW Polk Ave., Corvallis.
Mildrexler is known for his abstract expressions in textural form. He will share his work in a Friday evening slide lecture from 7 to 8 p.m. in at the Benton Center, room BC-204. The lecture is free and open to the public.
On Saturday, May 21, Mildrexler will demonstrate his techniques for hand-building sculpture and texturing pieces using natural materials in a daylong workshop from 9 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. in the Benton Center ceramic studio, room BC-140. The workshop includes a no-host potluck at noon. Cost for the workshop is $35.
