LBCC Music Department Presents Faculty Recital "Dreams and Dances"

The LBCC Music Department will present its second music recital, “Dreams and Dances,” featuring LBCC music faculty and guest artists on Thursday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. in South Santiam Hall, room SSH-213, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.

The recital will feature LBCC music faculty Diane Hawkins on flute and special guest Laura Zaerr on harp. Hawkins and Zaerr have been joining forces in performance for over 20 years with Hawkins on the C flute, alto flute, traverso, and Native American flute paired with Zaerr's expert skills on the harp.

Hawkins and Zaerr's performances reflect both the power and beauty of music theory their energy and passion. The performance will feature Celtic Music, Popular Classical tunes, Original compositions, and more well known works by Bach, Beethoven and Brahms.

Tickets are $5 general admission, $3 for students and senior and are available at the door. Proceeds support student scholarships and the LBCC music program. The final recital for the year, “American Pops and Everything In Between,” will be held May 10.
