Bread Making Class for Beginners

Learn how to make homemade bread in the class Bread for Beginners offered through Linn-Benton Community College Albany Community Education.

Local chef Adrienne Ewanchyna will provide practical information to help ease your fears of making homemade bread.

This one-day class will meet on Saturday, March 10 from 9 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. in the LBCC Calapooia Center building, second floor, room CC-202, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.

Cost for this non-credit class is $29 with a $10 lab fee. Oregon residents aged 62 or older pay 75 percent of tuition. This discount does not apply to material or lab fees.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications. A variety of art classes, including a few new ones, are being offered through LBCC Community Education starting March 28. In the new class “Art & Etsy,” learn to polish your craft and sell your art. Bring your own product to polish up, or bring to life a new creation. Immerse yourself in product design and then create a catchy shop name and an inviting online presence.
