Excel 1 & 2 for Business starts Oct. 17

Excel level 1 and 2 classes for business will be offered through LBCC Community Education starting Oct. 17.

Excel for Business Professionals Level 1 covers user interface layout, formatting data, conditional formatting, simple formulas and functions, menu commands, customizing tool bars and more.

Excel 1 meets Tuesday, Oct. 17 from 5:30 to 7:20 p.m. at LBCC’s Albany Campus McKenzie Hall room 207. Cost is $89.

Excel for Business Professionals Level 2 covers advanced charts and templates, pivot tables and charts, advanced functions and formulas, creating forms with data validation, linking worksheets and external data sources, collaborating in Excel and the Cloud, and more.

Excel 2 meets Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 5:30 to 7:20 p.m. at LBCC’s Albany Campus McKenzie Hall room 207. Cost is $89.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. The course is required for CCB licensing as part of the education requirement before taking the State of Oregon CCB exam. LBCC Holds Annual Career Fair

A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications. For sample interview questions and tips, check out the college web site at www.linnbenton.edu/go/career-fair and click “Job Seeker Links.” Employment, training and family needs agencies will be on hand to inform job seekers about their services. Community Art classes in Albany, Corvallis, and Lebanon

A variety of art classes, including a few new ones, are being offered through LBCC Community Education starting March 28. In the new class “Art & Etsy,” learn to polish your craft and sell your art. Bring your own product to polish up, or bring to life a new creation. Immerse yourself in product design and then create a catchy shop name and an inviting online presence. This one-day class meets Thursday, April 7 from 1 to 3:50 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way, and Friday, April 15 from 1 to 3:50 p.m. at the LBCC Benton Center, 757 Polk Ave, Corvallis, and Saturday, April 16 from 10 to 12:50 p.m. at the LBCC Albany Campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW.
