Lebanon & Sweet Home Center Fall Community Education Classes Start Sept. 28

The following Lebanon and Sweet Home area LBCC Community Education classes will start the week of September 28.

Calligraphy: Introduction to calligraphy and the formal or cursive italic lettering system. Meets Tuesdays starting Sept. 29, 1:30-3 p.m., LBCC Sweet Home Center, 1661 Long St. Cost is $69

Playing Music Together: Bring your stringed instrument and learn to play Bluegrass, Country and Old Time music with others. Meets Wednesdays starting Sept. 30, 6-7:50 p.m., LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way. Cost is $79.

Complete Country Dance: Learn a variety of couples pattern dances and line dances in this class that requires no partner. Meets Tuesdays starting Sept. 29, 6:30-7:50 p.m., Lebanon Senior Center, 80 Tangent St. Cost is $65.

Life Stories: Recall and recount family history in your narrative style with enhancement of detail, description and dialogue. Meets Wednesdays starting Sept. 30, 2-3:50 p.m. LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way. Cost is $69.

Introduction to Facebook: Perfect tor anyone, including seniors, seeking to learn the basics of connection with friends and family online. Meets Thursdays starting Oct. 1, 1-2:50 p.m., LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way. Cost is $59.

Canning Fruits, Jams & Jellies: Learn to select and prepare seasonal fruit and process using the basic boiling water canning technique. Meets one day only, Thursday, Oct. 8, 6-8:50 p.m., Sweet Home High School, 1641 Long St. Cost is $29.

Quilting: Come and join the fun as we work on doing the Bargello Twist quilt this term. Meets Thursdays starting Oct. 8, 7-7:50 p.m., Sweet Home High School, 1641 Long St.  Cost is $39.

Personal Computer Essentials:  A perfect class for those who have never touched a computer before and want hands-on, step-by-step instruction. Meets Thursdays, starting Oct. 8, 6-7:50 p.m., LBCC Sweet Home Center, 1661 Long St. Cost is $59.

Line Dance: Learn to dance to a variety of music including Country/Western, 50’s and Latin. No partner needed. Meets Tuesdays starting Oct. 6, 1:30-2:50 p.m., Lebanon Senior Center, 80 Tangent St. Cost is $59.

Dog Training 1: Learn how to positively motivate your dog to respond quickly despite distractions, and to reliably come when called. Meets Thursdays starting Oct. 8, 6:30-7:20 p.m., Lebanon Senior Center, 80 Tangent St.  Cost is $49.
