LBCC Calapooia Gallery Features Student Artist

"Ethan's Garden" by Rosalie Lingo.
LBCC art major Rosalie Lingo, a Corvallis resident, is exhibiting a selection of her paintings in the Calapooia Center Gallery at Linn-Benton Community College, 6500 SW Pacific Blvd., Albany through April 18.

On view are eight figurative pieces from Lingo's illustrated stories, which she has titled “Consumption.”

“I have tried to combine archetypes with pieces of my own experiences to create snapshots of human lives,” she explains.  “This group of paintings, drawings and mixed-media pieces seeks to create an album that draws from different life circumstances.”

Originally from Salem, Lingo plans to transfer from LBCC to Oregon State University to study graphic design or applied visual arts.

Calapooia Center Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
