LBCC Veterinary Assistant Information Sessions
A free Veterinary Assistant Program pre-application information session will be held at Linn-Benton Community College for those interested in training to become a Veterinary Assistant.
The session will be held on Monday, Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center, room, CC-212, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW. No need to preregister to attend. Attendance at the orientation is mandatory in order to take the program.
The 16-week LBCC Veterinary Assistant Program starts Jan. 9, 2012 and runs through April 27, 2012. Skill areas covered in the training include an introduction to hospital management, business procedures and job preparation skills. The program will also cover basic education and experience in commonly used medical and surgical techniques as well as an understanding of common disease states.
