Tractor and Farm Machinery Safety Class

Tractor and Farm Machinery Safety training will be held at Linn-Benton Community College in Albany starting June 30.

Popular among youth ages 14-18, the State of Oregon permits youth starting at age 14 to operate power-driven farm machinery for employers provided they pass training in a vocational agricultural safety program.

LBCC’s course places emphasis on safety, and is developed and operated with the assistance of the OSU Extension Service in accordance with federal regulations.

Class meets Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:50 p.m. June 30, and July 1 and 2. Cost for this non-credit course is $96.50. 

Registration packets are available at all LBCC centers or online at www.linnbenton.edu/tractor-safety

Pre-registration is required, on-line registration is not available. Students and parents must sign a Liability Waiver/Indemnification form within 24 hours of registration.
