LBCC Dog Training Classes
Two levels of dog training classes will be held at Linn-Benton Community College Albany campus starting June 24.
Dog Training I will focus on how to positively motivate your dog to respond quickly despite distractions, to reliably come when called, and will teach the technique of loose lead walking.
Dog Training II will build on the skills learned in Dog Training I to include precision heeling, learning new tricks, and politely greeting strangers. This class can help you to begin preparing for therapy work or rally obedience, competing in dog sports, or taking the AKC Canine Good Citizen test.
Dog Training I begins June 24, and Dog Training II begins July 29. These five-week classes meet Tuesdays from 6 to 6:50 p.m. in the LBCC Courtyard, 6500 SW Pacific Blvd., Albany. Cost for each class is $39. Veterinary shot records and dog history form required.
For more information or to register, see the LBCC online schedule at www.linnbenton.edu/webrunner or call Albany Community Education at 541-917-4840.
