LBCC Offers Forklift Safety Training


Forklift Safety Training will be offered through Business and Employer Services at Linn-Benton Community College on Saturday, June 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the LBCC Albany Campus, Industrial C building, room IC-106, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW.

This eight-hour course will provide four hours of classroom training and four hours of practice on the forklift. Training includes forklift safety, handling and moving loads, principles of lifting, stacking and unstacking loads and driving with a load.

Cost for the course is $149 and includes all materials. For more information or to register, contact LBCC Business and Employer Services at 541-917-4923.

  1. It's good to know that a lot of colleges are offering safety courses like this and other such as osha 10 nowadays. There was a time when you would either hire a very expensive trainer to get to you or you would have to send your workers for days an days of safety training to a far away location (burns money and time).

  2. I agree John. I think that forklift safety training is absolutely essential, and the way they've designed the curriculum has only improved in the last few years.
