LBCC Message Therapy Continuing Education Workshops

Two continuing education workshops for Licensed Message Therapists will be offered through LBCC Business and Employer Services this spring.

The first workshop “Hand, Wrist and Elbow” will be held Saturday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Learn to identify and address specific issues such as carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow and hyper-mobility issues.

The second workshop “Foot, Ankle and Knee” will be held Saturday, June 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Learn to identify and address plantar fasciitis, flat fee, high arches, achillies tendon injuries, knee imbalances and patellar tracking.

Matthew Hartman, LMT, will teach the workshops. Classes will be held in North Santiam Hall, room NSH-106 on the LBCC Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. LBCC Holds Annual Career Fair

A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications. Community Art classes in Albany, Corvallis, and Lebanon

A variety of art classes, including a few new ones, are being offered through LBCC Community Education starting March 28. In the new class “Art & Etsy,” learn to polish your craft and sell your art. Bring your own product to polish up, or bring to life a new creation. Immerse yourself in product design and then create a catchy shop name and an inviting online presence.
