LBCC Offers Small Business Introduction Course

Thinking about starting your own business? Plan to attend the class MicroBusiness Explore and Commit offered by Linn-Benton Community College’s Small Business Development Center.

This eight-week course will help you determine if you have a viable business. Learn about how money flows in a small business, how much money you will need to launch your business, typical business risks and regulations and straightforward record keeping practices. The course also explores competition your business may face and how to best reach customers.

To learn more about the program, attend one of two orientation sessions held on Tuesday, Jan. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center building, room CC-213, or on Wednesday, Jan. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the LBCC Benton Center in Corvallis, room BC-107.

The class will meet on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. beginning Jan. 10 through March 20 at Corvallis High School. Cost for the course is $349. Partial scholarships are available.
