SSH Gallery Features Local Photographers

“The Nature of Oregon,” a photography exhibit featuring 30 color and black-and-white images by members of the Willamette Valley PhotoArts Guild, will be on an exhibit April 2 to May 4 at the South Santiam Hall Gallery at Linn-Benton Community College, 6500 SW Pacific Blvd, Albany.

“Our objective with this show was to capture the essence of Oregon, both as a place and a lifestyle,” said PAG Vice President Dan Wise of Corvallis, an LBCC journalism graduate. “We wanted to show off the natural and man-made features and activities that reveal the inherent character of this place we call home.”

Exhibiting photographers are: From Corvallis—Owen Bentley, Rich Bergeman, Mike Bergen, Phil Coleman, Joe Crockett, Jack DeAngelis, Allan Doerksen, John Ginn, Craig Hanson, Marjorie Kinch, Bill Laing, Jack Larson, Dave McIntire, John Morris, Lew Nunneley, John Ritchie, Rosie Saraga, and Kat Sloma.

From Albany—Ellen Hamill, Jim Magruder, Kurt Norlin, Bob Ross, Ricardo Small, David Smith, and Dan Wise. From Philomath—Andy Purviance. From Eugene—Herman Krieger, Walt O’Brien and Justin Williams. From Sweet Home—Joan Wood

The South Santiam Hall Gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
