Small Business Introduction Course

Thinking about starting your own business? Learn what it takes to run a successful business in the course Micro Business Explore and Commit offered through Linn-Benton Community College’s Small Business Development Center.

This eleven-week course will help you determine if your business idea is viable and if it fills a potential customer need.

A free orientation session will be held Wednesday, March 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Flinn Building, 222 West 1st Avenue in downtown Albany.

The class will including information on how money flows in a small business, how much money you will need to launch your business, typical business risks and regulations and straightforward record keeping practices.

The course also explores competition your business may face and how to best reach customers. One-on-one business advising is available.

Class will meet on Tuesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. from April 3 to June 12 in the Flinn Building. Cost for the course is $349. Partial scholarships are available.
