Baseball and the American Experience History Class
Explore the history of baseball in the class Baseball and the American Experience offered through LBCC Albany Community Education beginning April 4.
Beginning in 1865, the class will look at the rise of American baseball through the eye of both amateur and professional players, from the greatest players and most dramatic moments, to the darker side of scandal, drug abuse and gambling. Follow the story as this amateur game for middle-class clerks grows to claim a unique place in American hearts and minds.
This five-week class will meet Wednesdays from 6 to 7:50 p.m. beginning April 4 in North Santiam Hall, room NSH-207, LBCC Albany campus. Cost for this non-credit class is $39 with a $2 lab fee.
