LBCC Offers Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Certification Course

The course Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP), a lead-safe certification course, will be offered through Linn-Benton Community College Business and Employer Services on Friday, April 22.

The one-day RRP course will cover topics such as lead dust hazards, EPA regulations, prep work, dust containment, clean-up of work site, post work inspection, record keeping, and training non-certified workers.

This course meets all EPA requirements for contractors, property owners, managers and maintenance personnel who are involved in any activity that has the potential to disturb lead based paint.

Class will meet from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, April 22 in the LBCC Fireside room, CC-211, Calapooia Center second floor, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. Cost for the course is $225 and includes the Certified Renovator test and certificate. This course is in compliance with the Toxic Substance Control Act, Section 402(a)(2) and qualifies for eight hours of continuing education through the CCB.
