LBCC Hosts PCC’s “Illumination Project”

Portland Community College will bring its interactive theater “Illumination Project” to the LBCC Albany campus on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at 11 a.m. and again at 1 p.m. in the LBCC Forum building, room F-104, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW.

The Illumination Project is interactive theater that focuses on social justice topics. This project’s topic of focus is racism. The interactive format of the play allows the audience to step in and intervene when the characters need an advocate, allowing audience member to make a change.

Audience members can dynamically change the performance outcome. In this way, the Illumination Project challenges the viewpoints of both the audience and the actors in a performance.

The Illumination Project is free and open to the public. The project, hosted by LBCC’s Diversity Achievement Center, is part of PCC’s Sylvania Women’s Resource Center.

Seating is limited. For more information, contact the LBCC Diversity Achievement Center at 541-917-4461, or e-mail at dac@linnbenton.edu.
