Strength and Balance for Seniors starts June 29, Lebanon
The exercise class Strength
and Balance for Seniors will be held through LBCC Community Education in
Lebanon starting June 29.
The
class focuses on the exercise portion of the program called A Matter of
Balance, developed and used by Oregon Health Sciences University’s ThinkFirst
Oregon Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Prevention Program.
Learn
chair exercises and standing exercises to find ways to reduce fall risk factors
while working to increase leg strength, balance and flexibility. Explore
strategies for moving through your day in a thoughtful and safe way.
This nine-week class meets Fridays
from 2:30 to 3:20 p.m. starting June 29 at the Lebanon Senior Center, 80
Tangent Street. Cost is $49.
