Free Pharmacy Technician Information Sessions

LBCC is offering two free Pharmacy Technician Program pre-application information sessions for those interested in training to work as a Pharmacy Technician.



The sessions will be held Monday, Oct. 28, from 9 to 11 a.m.; and Tuesday, Nov. 12, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way. 

No need to pre-register to attend the session.

Attendance at the session is mandatory in order to take the program.

The 18-week Pharmacy Technician Program starts Feb. 3 and runs through June 6, 2014.

Skill areas covered include customer service, pharmacy math, pharmacy laws and rules, pharmaceutical vocabulary, prescriptions, billing, insurance, industry software, pharmacology and on-the-job training.

Cost for the program is $5,000 and includes all books and supplies. The program is eligible for financial aid.

Foreign Language classes in Albany start April 4

Learn a foreign language in classes offered through Community Education at Linn-Benton Community College starting April 4. Spanish for Seniors focuses on conversational Spanish with essential words, songs and phrases to help you get ready to travel more confidently in Spanish speaking countries. Learn past, present, and future verb tenses. Some previous Spanish experience recommended.
