LBCC Foreign Language, new classes offered spring term

Learn a foreign language or brush-up on your language skills, including sign language and a few new classes held through Community Education at Linn-Benton Community College, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.

The new class Italian for Travelers offers basic language skills with emphasis on conversation, both speaking and listening to Italian in tourist situations, meeting people, shopping, directions, restaurants, hotels, and more. This eight-week class is held Tuesdays starting April 5 from 6 to 7:20 p.m. Cost is $89.

Spanish for Seniors, Level A/B helps you practice Spanish conversation with essential words, songs and phrases. Learn past, present, and future verb tenses. One term of previous Spanish experience recommended. This eight-week class is held Tuesdays starting March 29 from 2:30 to 3:50 p.m. Cost is $65.

American Sign Language I is for anyone interested in learning American Sign Language and about deaf culture. This eight-week class is held Tuesdays starting March 29 from 6:30 to 8:20 p.m. Cost is $99.

American Sign Language II is for those ready for silent communication through games and group interaction. Two terms of ASL or permission of instructor required. This eight-week class is held Tuesdays starting March 29 from 6:30 to 8:20 p.m. Cost is $99.
