LBCC Hosts Oregon Shakespeare Festival Actors

Oregon Shakespearian Festival actors Laura Montes and Joe Wegner will give two free performances Tuesday, Nov. 25 at Linn-Benton Community College Russell Tripp Theater as part of the OSF School Visit Program.

The OSF actors will perform a Shakespeare Program: They Say It’s Your Birthday, and a Literature Program: American Night High! 

The first one-hour show “They Say It’s Your Birthday,” will be from 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. and will feature selections from Much Ado, As You Like It, The Winter’s Tale, Twelfth Night, and Macbeth.

The second show, American Night High! The Ballad of an Immigrant Student Dreaming in the USA will be held at 12 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. In addition, a two-hour performance workshop will be held at 2 p.m. 

All events will take place in the LBCC theater, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany. 

The 2014 School Visit Program is funded by grants from the Bowmer Society, Sharkey Family Charitable Foundation, Joseph R. Parker Foundation, Lamb-Baldwin Foundation, Starseed Foundation, the Helen Clay Frick Foundation, and also Oregon Arts Commission.
