LBCC Offers Pesticides Laws & Safety Classes

Courses to prepare senior agriculture workers to take the State of Oregon Department of Agriculture pesticide applicator exam will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College.

These courses are designed for employees who need in-depth training in pesticide application and safety, or extra coaching in math and calibration skills needed for accurate application. 

Pesticide Private Applicator will be offered Thursday, March 7 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Friday, March 8 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-103. Cost for this non-credit class is $99.


Pesticides Laws and Safety (Public and Commercial Applications) will be offered Thursday, March 14 and Friday, March 15 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-211. Cost for this non-credit class is $99.


LBCC offers ODA exams at an additional cost of $58 each. For test dates, see the METRO web site at http://oregon.metrosignup.com or call 1-877-533-2900. The ODA pesticide applicators exam is optional and should be arranged with Metro.
