LBCC Volleyball Coach Named NWAACC Coach of the Year

The Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges named Jayme Frazier, Linn-Benton Community College head women’s volleyball coach, the 2011 Volleyball Coach of the Year for the Southern Region.

Frazier is in her 18th season as coach, with the team in the running for the NWAACC conference championship this year. Frazier also teaches Health and Human Performance at the college.

In addition, the following players were selected for the Southern Region All-Stars team: Sophomore’s Hannah Bell, Julianna Evola, Mona Goudarzian and Lacy Wood. Honorable mentions went to freshman players Whitney Hightower and Lindsay Verboort.

The LBCC team begins its quest for the NWAACC volleyball championship this Thursday, Nov. 17 at 4:30 p.m. when they play Lower Columbia College at Mt. Hood Community College.
