LBCC Performing Arts Play “A Christmas Carol”
LBCC’s Performing Arts Department will present “A Christmas Carol” starting Thursday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Russell Tripp Performance Center, Takena Hall, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.
A contemporary take on the classic Charles Dickens tale, the play is set in America where Ebenezer Scrooge, a successful businesswoman, has built her money-making empire.
Adapted by John Mortimer and directed by LBCC theater director Dan Stone, the play features puppetry, mask performance, original music and dance. For a behind-the-scenes peak of the puppetry work, check out the link on the college home page at www.linnbenton.edu.
Performance dates are Dec. 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m., and Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. The Dec. 4 performance is ASL interpreted and is also a benefit performance for the Performing Arts Foundation Scholarships.
Meet the cast for an Opening Night social in the lobby after the play on Friday, Dec. 2. Hors d'oeuvres and beverages will be served.
Tickets are $9 for adults, $7 for students (with student ID) and seniors age 60 and over, and $5 for those under 18 accompanied by an adult.
