LBCC Re-Choired Element First Runner-up for American Prize
The Re-Choired Element Chamber Choir at Linn-Benton Community College was named first runner-up in The American Prize held in June.
The LBCC ensemble competed in the college and university division with numerous other choirs from across the country, and was the only community college ensemble to advance to both the semi-final and final rounds. (see recent performance below)
“This is truly an honor for the ensemble and the college,” said LBCC music faculty and choir director James Reddan. “This award recognizes the choir as being amongst the finest college/university choirs in the country."
American Prize awards are given to the best recorded performances of music by individuals and ensembles in the United States at the professional, community/amateur, college/university, church and school levels.
