Pharmacy Technician Information Session

LBCC will hold three free Pharmacy Technician Program pre-application information sessions for those interested in training to work as a Pharmacy Technician.

Sessions will be held Wednesday, Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon; Tuesday, Sept. 23 from 1 to 3 p.m.; and Monday, Sept. 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the LBCC Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way, Lebanon.

No need to preregister to attend. Attendance at an information session is mandatory in order to take the program.

The 18-week Pharmacy Technician Program starts Feb. 2 and runs through June 5, 2015.

Skill areas covered include customer service, pharmacy math, pharmacy law and ethics, pharmaceutical vocabulary, prescriptions, billing, insurance, industry software, pharmacology and on-the-job training.

Cost for the program is $5,500, which includes all books and supplies. The program is eligible for financial aid.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. LBCC Holds Annual Career Fair

A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications.
