Job Fair Set for Veterans and Disabled Individuals

A job fair for veteran’s and individuals with disabilities will be held Friday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Linn-Benton Community College’s Commons cafeteria, Calapooia Center building, 2nd floor, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.

Attending businesses are seeking individuals to hire. Community and campus resources will also be available to assist with employment and resource information.

Businesses include ATI Wah Chang, Samaritan Health Services, Comcast, Cascade Pulp, Knife River, U.S. Forest Service and more.

This event is free and open to the public. Cosponsored by Blue Sun, Inc. of Corvallis, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 17, Hero 2 Hired, WorkSource Oregon and Linn-Benton Community College.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. LBCC Holds Annual Career Fair

A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications. Community Art classes in Albany, Corvallis, and Lebanon

A variety of art classes, including a few new ones, are being offered through LBCC Community Education starting March 28. In the new class “Art & Etsy,” learn to polish your craft and sell your art. Bring your own product to polish up, or bring to life a new creation. Immerse yourself in product design and then create a catchy shop name and an inviting online presence.
