LBCC Lebanon and Sweet Home Centers Computer Application Classes

Beginner computer and photography classes will be held at Linn-Benton Community College Lebanon and Sweet Home Centers starting April 3.

Learn the basics of computer use in the class Computers-1st Step held at the Lebanon Center, 44 Industrial Way, beginning Wednesday, April 3 from 6 to 7:50 p.m. Cost for this non-credit class is $39 plus a $2 lab fee. Class is also offered at the Sweet Home Center, 1661 Long St., beginning Thursday, April 11 from 6 to 8:50 p.m. Cost is $45 plus a $3 lab fee.



Advance beyond the basics in the class Computers-2nd Step held at the Lebanon Center beginning Wednesday, May 1 from 6 to 7:50 p.m. Cost for this four-week class is $39 plus a $2 lab fee. Class is also offered at the Sweet Home Center beginning Thursday, May 9 from 6 to 8:50 p.m. Cost is $45 plus a $3 lab fee.


Learn the basics of Apple iPad and Kindle Fire including core functions and settings in this five-week class held Thursdays at the Lebanon Center beginning April 3 from 3 to 4:40 p.m. Cost for this class is $39 plus a $2 lab fee.


A hands-on Intro to Digital Photography class will cover basic features of digital camera’s and basic photo editing such as sizing and cropping. Computer skills recommended. This five-week class will be held at the Lebanon Center Thursdays beginning May 9 from 6 to 7:50 p.m. Cost for the class is $39 plus a $3 lab fee.



Adults age 62 and above are eligible for a 25 percent reduction in tuition. Reduction does not apply to fees.

Oregon Construction Contractors Board Education (CCB) will be offered through the Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College. This five session course will meet on April 22, 29, May 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., on the LBCC Albany campus, Calapooia Center room CC-213. The course is required for CCB licensing as part of the education requirement before taking the State of Oregon CCB exam. LBCC Holds Annual Career Fair

A free Career Fair will be held at Linn‑Benton Community College Career Thursday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Activities Center gym, Albany campus, 6500 Pacific Blvd. S.W. More than 50 businesses, industries and government agencies will provide information on careers and employment opportunities. College advisors will available to answer questions on career and technical training programs. Be prepared to ask questions, distribute your resume and complete applications. For sample interview questions and tips, check out the college web site at www.linnbenton.edu/go/career-fair and click “Job Seeker Links.” Employment, training and family needs agencies will be on hand to inform job seekers about their services. A variety of art classes, including a few new ones, are being offered through LBCC Community Education starting March 28. In the new class “Art & Etsy,” learn to polish your craft and sell your art. Bring your own product to polish up, or bring to life a new creation. Immerse yourself in product design and then create a catchy shop name and an inviting online presence.
