LBCC Professional Development Class: Improving Performance

The professional development class Improving PerformanceWith Practical On-the-Job Training Skills will be held Tuesday, July 10 from 8 a.m. to Noon at Linn-Benton Community College in the Fireside room, CC-211, 6500 Pacific Blvd. SW, Albany.

It has been estimated that more than 80 percent of critical competencies of a job are learned on-the-job. Too often employees are being asked to train their colleagues on new technologies, products or skills without having the tools needed to effectively plan, deliver and evaluate training.

Don’t leave this important training to chance.  When done well, OJT can be very effective for the learner and rewarding for the trainer.

Learn how to identify characteristics of adult learners and learning styles and their impact on training, explore a five-step model for learning something new, and analyze a task so you can chunk information and skill practice for maximum return.

Cost for each non-credit workshop is $79. For more information or to register, contact LBCC Business and Employer Services at 541-917-4923.
