LBCC Earth Day Sustainability Fair a Success

LBCC's first Earth Day Sustainability Fair, held Friday, April 22, was a great success, according to fair-goers and participants.

Faculty came out to showcase some of their program efforts including Denis Green, Mechatronics; John Alvin, Heavy Equipment; Bryan Schiedler, Automotive; and
Scott Anselm, Culinary Arts.

LBCC Food Services manager Todd Ketterman displayed campus efforts on composting food waste; Julie Jackson with Allied Waste educated folks on recycling; the Green Team from First United Methodist Church handed out their Albany Reuse Directory; and the LBCC student Green Club and LBCC Sustainability Committee talked about what the campus is doing around sustainability.
